Ways Of Living is our documentary about communal, spiritual, and environmentally conscious lifestyles. It was filmed over 5 months of traveling the eco-villages, intentional communities, and small co-operative farms of America's East Coast. This is the NYC debut.
We'll give a short introduction and a Q&A afterwards.
Anima Rising was invited to show at the first Puppy Fat Film Festival, on Brick Lane. We spoke about society and how we're waking up to our own unconscious living. And THEN, we screened thirteen minutes from a rough edit of our upcoming film, Ways of Living, for the first time ever!
It was so special for us both to experience other peoples' reactions to our adventure, and share a deeper insight into what we've been up to. We can't wait for more nights like this one. It was bloody fabulous!
Julia and the lovely ladies behind 'Oh Comely' magazine asked Anima to speak at their Sunday night salon, 6x9 in Herne Hill, south LDN. We chatted about communes and open roads, and shared photos and experiences from the Appalachian coast with a group of artists and thinkers. Were we nervous? Yes, it was the first time we'd ever done anything like that before.
The highlight of the night was the Duncan sisters showing up - two ladies we met in North Carolina at Snaggy Mountain back in the spring. Sigh.
